CME Assignment 3 - Reflection #6

In the studio, getting ready to record my composition... How exciting? Gabby taking the lead on Bass Guitar, Beat-boxing and clapping as well :)

So let's get started!!!

Gabby begins by recording the drum section (which in this case is her beat boxing) to help maintain the pulse for us as we record our further tracks.

She then records the claps, followed by the Bass over the Beat-boxing, and hence more layers are developed as we include the following instruments played by me:

• Acoustic Guitar

• Piano

• String Synth (on keyboard)

• Electric piano (on keyboard)

• Vocals - here I sing the verse and pre-chorus. Chorus seemed to be a little high-pitched for me, and so I was lucky that Gabby recorded the Chorus instead of me, and later on James suggested that it sounded better with my voice in there too... I decided that I will sing the Chorus as well, but this time with my 'fake' voice so I don't face the struggle of singing high and hurting my voice.

Greatly looking forward to the final production of this composition - seriously can't wait! This is going to be great!
