Today we had the pleasure to meet one of the world's best, inspiring and most famous conductors, Eduardo Diazmunoz. Such an inspiration to all, we are proud to announce that Eduardo is our first guest who has agreed to take part in our documentary project. Woohoo! How exciting??

Greatly looking forward to next week (Thurs 25th Aug) - we begin interviewing and finding out more about Eduardo, his techniques, what it means to bring people from all backgrounds to produce such beautiful music, and last but not least, his final tips for us as educators who will be out there in the future!

Our current prepared questions for our guest conductors include:

  1. At which point did the love of music start for you?

  2. What are the challengers and fears you face as a conductor? Leading a minimum of 100 musicians on stage can be quite daunting. What techniques do you use to bring everyone together and how do you keep them on the same page? Is there ever a time where you just felt scared, or even nervous?

  3. One of the main aims I believe when conducting is to promote unison - unity among all musicians present. Is this one of your main objectives as a conductor? Like, what is your opinion towards this statement / belief and also what is your reaction when you see this achieved through a performance?

  4. What are your key objectives as a conductor besides the promotion of unity? What is it that you want to portray / convey to the audience when you conduct any piece of music? What are you trying to communicate to them?

  5. Tracing back the steps, was the journey hard? (how and why) and has it made you who are you are today?

  6. What are your final tips of advice to us young aspirating conductors, musicians and educators out there? In what ways can we inspire our students and deliver content to them as effectively as possible? Is it show rather than tell?

  7. What is your inspiration?

Questions to ask our guest musicians include:

  1. What are your fears? For example: playing with others, hitting wrong notes or playing in wrong time, discontinuity, not having enough eye contact, etc...

  2. What are your experiences as a musician being conducted by Eduardo? For instance: has there always been a goal that Eduardo tries to reinforce? Do you feel confident and believe that you achieved this goal / have met his expectations? If yes, what does it mean now to have overcome your fears?

  3. If you (as a musician were given about a minute to talk about Eduardo and any words of inspiration you have towards him and his conducting, what is it that you would say? Example: his technique of showing rather than telling?

More conductors will be with us on board and updates about that will be posted soon.
